Inside and Outside

I should have posted this a week ago but I was too busy celebrating. As we immerse more and more in Mexican culture, patriotic holidays mean more and more to us. And it also means we enjoyed not only a visited the downtown to enjoy some music and official celebration but also hang out the next day stuffing our faces (I could hardly move when I went home... I also blame dancing, a lot). This what I wore for the official part on the Plaza Reforma. I played around Mexican Flag... a little. Bonus: Mexican girl is having her hour waiting for El Grito speach (she didn't make it and we left home earlier) Bonus2: festive pup. He didn't go with us because there were too many people to be comfortable with him. Many people took their dogs to celebrate with them so our overly-friendly pup did seam like the best choice. Apparently I can wear something that is NOT green. Yay me, right? Still on the comfortable side. I wore this outfit for a cute family stroll and we took the photos and a video (fun reel is here). I felt very cute wearing this outfit. Also parenting note: do you also find cargo trend super handyu with your kids? They fit so much and I don't need much of a bag or backpack. Everything fits everything my child needs. Super handy especially for a short strolls and for people who are the opposite of extra, like me. As you might know Mexico is very festive this weekend, actually it is more like: the whole September Mexico is very festive. We celebrate the country and remembering the heroes who made the Mexico of today read and free. Today I am going to listen to the music and dance my legs off while celebrating El Grito at night and tomorrow we'll be overendulging in meat celebrating the Independance Day. And yes pozole was involved as well. And being festive means celebrating with friends, making huge parties somewhere next to palapita and so on and so on. It also means having kids around. This is not my typical outfit but I like a change from time to time. This is an elegant outfit I jose to wear for date a night/restaurant out. We had a lovely time as our favorite Japanese place and I wanted to look equally as lovely. It is funny by the way, just how much wearing heels helps you to feel better when your legs are very tired from training. Bonus points for feeling extra elegant in a pair of classic beige pumps. I don't know about you but I always gain weight in summer. It might have something to do with time spent outside eating in general and ice cream in particular to cool down and ) last but not least - low running season. I do love my body with a little bit more meat to it, even more so since I know I'll build it into muscle very soon when I am full in competitive sport mode. Ok, I still go on green heavily. I beg you to bare with me. My green era is something to ebrace. not forget. After all I do think I do look cute in green. I wore this coordinated totaly green outfit to git one of my favorite pubs nearby. It was a fun evening and I already can't wait to repeat it soon enough. I also wore glasses for no real reason. I think it was a cute touch. This skirt is such a blessing for summer in Cancun. It is light enough to wear it easily outside without any discomfort. However it provides enough coverage to feel comfortable when we go inside. I dislike cold so air conditioning is not such a big friend of mine.This helps me compromise nicely.
