Ruins, again. Chichen Itza, boys and girls!

Can't get enough of ruins. Always fun and joy to me. I am so blessed to be living to so many old Mayan cities to explore them. And not even once. During my mother-in-law visit I took her to visit Chichen Itza. It's a classic staple sight, modern world wonder and so on. Definitely my least favorite but it is a must visit for any person who visits Yucatan peninsula for the first time.

I wore travel uniform. Comfortable top, jeans (to survive AC in the bus for me, and also a good buffer from mosquitos) and flip flops. I'd recommend you wearing sneakers if you are not wearing flip flops all the time and feel just as comfortable.

I was wearing:
Levi's jeans
H&M top
handmade bracelets and necklace
Optima flip flops

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  1. That's great that you were able to explore these ruins. We love visiting Mexico and seeing different Mayan Ruins. Chichen Itza has become quite crowded lately, and we actually climbed the temple about 20 years ago when we were there - of course it has since been closed to going on the temple. What is your favorite Mayan Ruin?

    1. probably Ek Balam. You can directly interact with the ruins, the territory is big so you can walk there and it's less touristy. The most flashy are Tulum: the sea does a lot with an impact. Also there are TONS of iguanas everywhere and I love them endlessly. I also want to mention Muyul: they are tiny but have the most unique temple and are linked to a wonderful nature park and superb cenotes just around the corner. There are literally nobody there and the nature is a marvel. having a boat tour will give SO much! perfect for birdwatching too.

  6. You're so funny! Hope the ruins don't ruin it for you ;-) We visited some of the ruins during our stay in Puerto Morelos and I really loved it. Yucatan is such a wonderful place once you get away from the mass tourist places.
Hope you're enjoying it to the max! :-)

    1. I agree. Touristy places are fun when you are tourist but no fun if you are a traveler or an expat like me. However when a real tourist comes to visit you, you need to bend from time to time

  8. This place has been on my bucket list (well Mexico in general itself) for too long.. and I recall first reading about the Mayans in a storybook when I was a kid and being fascinated by them ... seeing these will feel like stepping back in time..

Say 'yes' to a dress with Yesbabyonline

When you start on inspiration posts it hard to spot. At least for me. I feel like I am half awake in my bed, feeling super lazy and have to strict plans for the morning so I am hitting the 'snooze' button. I almost hear myself saying 'five more minutes' and I do mean five more minutes but I fail and hit 'show me more' button. Inspiration from online shops devour me. Yes it is budget friendly (you don't need to buy things even though you do want to) but it is not safe for your time. I can't really say I am against it, it is a good to relax and is also useful if you need to wait for your partner to finish some stuff to do. This evening it works especially well because I am waiting for my husband to finish the page. I am more or less limited by time so my online inspiration will be most pleasing. As always I wanted to set up a topic to make it even better. My topic for today is long formal dresses . Out of tons of online shop I picked the best for me toda...

Tanchoo the talk

You might have noticed I often wear accessory marked Tanchoo (my favourite rings I tend to wear with almost each outfit) or some Russian designer clothes I'm wearing. It's all from wonderful shop Tanchoo . I love this shop so much so when I thought about launching the post series about fashion in form of interview I never thought twice and contacted lovely shop owner Tatiana or simly Tanchoo to start it. This is Tanchoo herself modeling for her shop. this is me wearing some of Tanchoo accessories.and Dina Faradgeva top also from this shop And this is the interview: 1 Tanya the first question would be most ordinary but nevertheless interesting: why your shop and accessory line is called Tanchoo . What does it mean?   Tanchoo is my name is the sphere of design and for life. No my real name for sure is Tatiana but my friends call me that way - Tanchoo or Tanch)) That’s why then it came to choosing my brand name and afterwards the project Young Russian Design...

Sarah Bustani

Such an incredible experience! It was so much fun! They made a point by making the fashion show really creative by making the designer talk about the outfits, the ideas behind each dress, giving tips on how to style it alternately and also some general styling tips. I genuinely enjoyed her passion in sharing her experience. Also all the items were so cute! I’d wear it all How do you find the collection? Would you wear her styles? Also how do you find this way of presenting the collection. It sounds like a very nice change from the regular catwalk   Have a nice day, Lyosha
