Wedding anniversary

A little report on how we spent our 10th wedding anniversary. It feel on a weekday and unfortunately we had to work. So we kept it low key and simply went out in the evening to eat out and watched movies. We wore matching shirts with our favorite folk-rock band.

But we planned a second part for the weekend! We took an extra long walk on the coast line again. Grabbed breakfast on the shore and headed to Aquarium! It was long planned because we both love aquariums, we heard it's very nice nice one here in Cancun, it's relatively inexpensive and we haven't visited it yet! I more a dress and shirt for it. Actually this is the exact shirt we wore on our wedding day! It feels SO special and totally matches the first real big anniversary for us. Surely I would have wanted it to be more special and active but there is not much you can do really being 38 weeks pregnant. I am just happy I can walk as much as I want and enjoy my life still.

On our way back we enjoyed the beach, grabbed some themed fish tacos and ceviche for Max and took memorable photos of just the two of us to look back on this day. Cheers to many-many more *0 wedding anniversaries!

I was wearing:

Dress (vintage)

Hawain made shirt from our wedding day (bought via ebay 10 years go)

Cuidado con el Perro hat and Max's shorts

Paul Smith hat (Max)

c/o iGlassesshop sunglasses (both)

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  1. Congratulations on such a milestone anniversary! That is wonderful. It is too bad that it fell on a weekday, but I am so glad you were able to celebrate properly. It looks like you had so much fun on the weekend adventure :D

    1. thanks! I actually would have preferred celebrating it not being pregnant or at least being in second or first trimester so we could do something more active than just walk and swim. but it's ok, you can't have it all. I am thankful for being able to pull the kilometers I can pull in my condition.

  19. I love that you two had matching shirts! My husband and I did that as well for our 10th, but since we got married in November, it is kind of hard to really go out and show off our shirts unless we want to freeze to death. Lol. But it is still so much fun to do things like that to celebrate and make the day that much more special.

Dia del Taco

Would you head to the city centre to stay in the queues to eat some cheap taco, listen to mariachis and watch lucha libre for your your birthday? Because that is exactly what I happily did! It was so much fun! I was very tired after but it was So worth it. I do hope to repeat it next year because March 31st is Taco day in Mexico. I do hope to enjoy it even more next time! As it was my birthday I wanted to wear something more flashy and festive. I went with sexy skirt, basic top and my most comfortable shoes. I felt edgy and beautiful. May be a little overdressed but who cares as it was my birthday! Who said 'taco'? I was wearing: H&M skirt (yes, i still kinda shocked they made such a beautiful and well made silky perfection) Doc Marten's Cuidado con el Perro top (I wear this shop a lot, but they seem to be so cute and affordable, I found a lot of joy in buying a top once in a while) Coach bag Necklace gift from my partner long before Fossil watch (last year'

A year of my life 2.0

It's been a year since I have moved to Mexico and honestly it still feels like a dream come to true to me. I am so happy and fulfilled here, it is incredible. I am half-way scared I might jinx it. I do pray I won't. I am also very happy how my adaptation went/goes here. I thought it might be useful to many people who relocate to a very different climate and also different culture (always applies) to share some of my tips. Each of them contributed to my well being here. I feel very local here. After all they joke Mexicans are born wherever they feel like. May be it was meant for me to live here that is why I adapted so well. Anyways, here is my piece of mind: 1 Have your eyes opened. Adapt to new reality. It is not your previous home with benefits, it is completely different. Don't expect it to be like your before-home but better in each and every position. 2 People at your new place and the place itself are not "them", it is called "us" now. Start with

Pool time!

It is finally warm enough for a pool! Can't say I am a water baby but it was very nice for me. And Just look at the super cute Ada Maria in her baby bikini. Awww, my heart melted. I definitely felt like a mom-mom in my one piece swimsuit with ruffles and a huge floppy hat. I mean, isn't it what fancy pool moms looked like when I was little. I am a little shocked to realize.. I am one of them now! P.S. it is not nearly as warm today or yeasterday but I am staying hopeful for hitting the pool or a beach  very soon.
