Moon Love, Interview

English below

ENG: Today I want you to meet a person I am proud to know, Yana, aspiring accessories maker with brand Moon Love. Do you remember chain I wear all time, my new favorite accessory (no problem if not, here is dedicated post)? Yana is the person who made it real. Today I am making an interview with her.

1.The first question is probably the most boring one but still important. How did you start making accessories? which one was the first?

December 2016.
I have a very avid desire to make a creative and unexpected gift for my daughter to add to her New Year outfit. (* To understand how Russia celebrates New Year simply change it for Christmas and there you have it). I decided it has to be something to do with her hair.
By that time I have already seen similar hair accessories in the Internet but I didn't know how to make it, where to buy the components, how to connect the parts. I had millions of questions but as we all well know of if you do nothing, nothing happens. That is why I decided to "make it happen".

I bought stones, thrills, beads and started trying. Now I can say the components were horrible but at the time it was the best I could get. That is how I made my first accessory and it makes me feel proud.

2. How much time do you need to create a piece? How do get the inspiration?

It is always unique.
Sometimes I get ideas during my sleep, lunch, main job, doing laundry. while looking through images. The idea comes, flashes like a lighting and stay in my memory until I find means to make it real.
Sometimes I get the idea when I am in the shop, browsing through the wires. In that case I buy everything I need right away.
But sometimes it happens so that I make an accessory and I don't like what I made. In that case I leave it be and wait until I get my ''flash' and realize what is needed to be done about it. That is exactly what happened with the chain below. The first image is the original version I felt 'wrong' and second is the final result.

Overall the process takes different time as well. It varies (if we have all the components at hand) from one day to several weeks.
For example the comb takes one day and crown two weeks.

3 I know you love hand crafting. Why accessories are main right now. why is it a priority and not plates for example? How do your other hobbies and work affect your accessory making? For example, does catering (Yana's day job) help you, for example, finding interesting color combinations?

Yes indeed, I have quite a number of hobbies and curiosities, I don't deny myself a pleasure of making plate from epoxy resin, dried or fresh flower compositions and other. My dream is to become a florist-decorator for events and to make it real I study for event design. Accessory making is a major hobby of mine, a joy of creating something interesting and giving away the pleasure of beauty to the person, most likely a lady to whom this beauty was made. There is an undertone in my accessories, I want people to me gifts for themselves with no reason, buy just for themselves, love themselves, treat themselves, creating a unique beautiful look and love themselves for that and just because.
As for plates and other hobbies I no longer go for in daily life. I did push them away because I couldn't evolve with it and in it. For example, to make epoxy resin plate you need a special place to work (a room or a rented location), with good ventilation because epoxy resin has a very strong and distinctive scent. I don't have such a location so I decided to give it up.
Catering is my main, day job and it is creative in a way as well. It helps me to nourish my interests, for example my dream job of florist-decorator came from it. As for accessories I don't really see the connection.

4. Why did you chose this particular brand name, Moon Love? Why Moon?

This naming came from my workplace, while discussing my accessory blog with colleagues.
I didn't have a proper name for a long time and many people addressed that issue, noticing how important naming is.
And during one of these days there came a name 'Moon Love'. I have a feeling of something unknown, fantasy (everybody knows what Moon is but nobody actually felt Moon for real), it's love for something beautiful

5. Standrt question from my blog. People way, most of the creative adults have been not less creative kids and often it turned out to be poured in life in unexpected way. For example, my hairdresser friend spent a day making a new 'stylish' hair cuts to all of her dolls and toys. Did you do something like that as a child?

I can't really think of something that was unpleasant and destructive but I do remember I didn't have any limits for creativity. I didn't have a sofa of something like that for my dolls but I wanted one badly. I didn't think twice and gathered boxes for matches, glued them together in a shape of a sofa and glues some material over it. And there you have it: a sofa for my dolls!

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  18. Beautiful pieces. I absolutely LOVE the simplicity of the comb. I had a hair clip that I purchased which looks similar to this (different colours/set up, but a similar style) and I LOVE wearing it for weddings and fancier events. There's something about including it with my outfit that always gives me that extra boost of confidence.

Jaime Ibiza Fashion show

It's been awhile since I have visited a  fashion show. I am so excited to get to see it from time to time here. This time I was happy enjoy and bag and luggage fashion show. The designer is pretty famous here in Mexico. He is from Guadalajara. I absolutely enjoyed the spectacle and the bags. I can easily see me rocking any of those!  Luggage collection was a special surprice. It is the first and new collection and it features cute styles, great quality and interesting shapes to carry you stuff the best way possible making trips even more enjoyable. I wore a very casual look. All brows, cute little back and comfortable shoes. I didn't get to wear something special because I was on a  go and in a bit of a hurry as I have had things to do right after. It was a great experience. I hope to see more fashion shows here. I was wearing: Cuidado con el Perro skirt and shoes MiuMiu bag H&M top   Have a nice day, Lyosha

Explore Starcon

I'm going to brake up vacation post series to share the Starcon experience. A week ago I was sitting on the same spot and getting ready to go. We've been to lovely Saint  Petersburgh. We managed to have a charming walk in the  evening even right after the con. Starcon was all about sci-fi and we loved it so much. We even wore the Jedi costumes (wait for them in the end of post). Max, my lovely husband, sewed them for only 3 days (that's why the design is so simple). and I also got 2d place in Star Wars Miniatures board game tournament took place there. I'm so happy! As for outfit - I've chosen a super comfy outfit with a very cool pants! I bought them on ebay and they are more than 20 year old pants (I guess soon they could buy booze on their own but I doubt I need it). I love them for their shape - keeping me cool during hot and warm when needed. Oh, and can I also call it my pijama pants trend pants? or not? What I also wanted to mention you are my fab set jewel...

Ruinas El Rey

Archeological site El Rey is located in the Cancun hotel zone, right next to the most scenic beach in my opinion playa Delfines. The part of the ancient town is actually located in the nearby museum Museo Maya Cancun (if you ever visit it, don't forget to also check the ruins in the garden). But the original town was a lot more than what you see in the museum. I highly suggest you to walk a little bit further and explore the ruins of the right hand side right after playa Delfines. It is a very tranquil place with lots of iguanas for the inthuiasts and ruins to explore. the entrance is inexpensive as well. My family had a lot of fun exploring the small ruins of our town. I have chosen to wear my favorite wideleg jeans, a crop top and practical closed shoes (I always suggest some soft of closed toes shoes to explore the ruins, it allows you to move freely without worring to hurt your  feet). Definitely perfect for a relaxing weekend I was wearing:   Have a nice day...
