S'elections Moscow, part 1

I love fashion goes digital. I know it's safer, it gives opportunities to smaller designers to be on par with bigger designers, there no invitation only moments (which is kinda cool by the way if you have the invitation) but at the same time I love seeing it in real life, being able to touch and experience it. It feels so much different and I have to admit it is way more memorable. I watched the show online, I loved it, I sort of remember about it after awhile. I wanted a show or seen clothes in person, boom!, I clearly remember it even after sometime. I mean digitally you need to work way harder to impress me, to make me feel connected, to make them special. You see the invitation only moment, it makes you feel special about the brand, it makes a connection. During digital format anyone can come, see and go any moment. There is nothing special about it. Moreover you have so much content you want at least a glimpse of, you become flooded with fashion. In real life it takes hours to see several fashion shows and I assure you are dead beat after just 3 or 4. I once did 5 a day and it felt a lot like running a half marathon with PR (personal record, not public relations guy); it might be pretty cool but it is not something you can do every day. But with digital format: you don't have to wait, stand a lines, do your makeup and spend time to actually get to the venue. It saves up a bunch of time which you are willingly spend on more fashion shows. It is not hard to watch online fashion shows for 5 or even 6 hours in a row, I did it more than once. It feels like binge watching series or scrolling through Youtube. It gives you a lot less connection to content, it is very short and it fades super fast. That is why I really want fashion to stay offline as well. Online is cool (and I think we will soon wear digital clothes) but offline is much needed either, it is worth the money and effort you put in there.
Sorry for a huge into. I want to tell you about fashion event I have visited twice this week. It is S'elections Moscow by CPM. You know CPM quite well, they are here in Moscow for over 25 years and they do a great job making probably the best place for fashion professionals in Russia. Due to pandemic they wanted to make a new format: an exhibition made as heaven for buyers. And there is a great block for discussions and talks which I greatly admire and enjoy listening to. Below are some photos to give you general impression.

My outfit was warm. I don't know why but I felt very cold this morning and I was afraid I will get cold when coming back (I had a meeting after the exhibition so I arrived home after 10) so I wore a sweater. And I can not say I wasn't grateful for that, it actually felt very nice wearing it. I am wearing a dress, not a skirt here and I admit of using the belt hack to make my sweater look neat. I think I kinda nailed it. My bag is roomy enough to accommodate whatever I needed for a day and it is also of wonderful pastel pink color. Converse are make to walk a lot I believe. And as there was no rain in the forecast I enjoyed rocking some white shoes as well

I was wearing:
Maje dress (as a skirt)
H&M sweater
Converse shoes
Kenzo bag
Monki headband
c/o Bornpretty earring
c/o Faberlic paw necklace

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  24. The pandemic has caused everyone to think on their feet and get creative. That is about the only part of it that I like. I feel seeing it online is better than nothing at this point. I'm actually attending a concert from one of my favorite bands online in a couple of weeks.

  25. Your outfit is so cute. You look comfy as heck, but fashionable. I have never heard of this before, but sounds amazing for those who love fashion.

  35. Looks like a great event! I would have loved this in my former life when I worked in the fashion industry.

  36. I can definitely see why there would be a significant difference in the experience between attending a fashion show in person and seeing it all online. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised to see a rise in smaller designers embracing the digital option as we move forward. It helps to break down some of the barriers and challenges that they face.

  38. I think online is great if you have a particular manufacturer you like and know their sizing. But I hate getting things online and finding out their sizing doesn't fit right/well.

    1. I feel you. It doesn't even matter if they make returns easy and everything: I wanted this particular item to enjoy, not something else.

  39. It looks quite a fashionable scene and I had no idea! Now that we are restricted from traveling, all the online technologies can still keep us informed on the latest industry info and fashion trends - thanks to that. :)

  40. I love this outfit, looks like a really fashion-forward place :)

  41. You look so smart and elegant. I love the outfit. Yes fashion is now digital, but I really love live shopping. The feel of the product and trying them on is different.

  42. That outfit looks amazing on you. I love digital fashon, saves me time and avoids the crowds

  43. Nice collection! You look great on that sweater.

  44. Glad that they were able to shift to Digital format already. I agree with you that the bright side of the new normal is that it takes less effort to watch a fashion show online. It may not have the same feel but I still love it.

  45. Love your outfit! The sweater tuck does look immaculate - I've never managed to get a hang of it. Your bag is making me want to go shop - it's so pretty!

  46. I can see both the good and bad of having fashion shows be digital. I hope nothing in-person is ever fully replaced by digital, and that is something that worries me. We're already divided enough as humans. But it is awesome that smaller designers have a chance to really be involved and have their designs in front of a bigger audience. I see it being a great addition, but not a substitution. Hopefully that is how digital things are treated as we go forward post-covid.

  47. Great outfit, I love the bag especially. As you said, it's roomy enough to be able to fit everything you need. This is very important to me because I'm always carrying around more stuff than I should.

  48. What a cute outfit! I love the different things they are using for fashion

Happy Halloween

Don't you just loove  Halloween ?everybody does! This year we made it very special  decorating  everything, cutting a huge pumpkin and creating yammy  Halloween  food. We've celebrated this holiday at the exact date October 31st at home with friends. I chose the costume of intelligent witch (yeap, jedi costumes are not fair for Halloween) and finally worn my little black dress I wear so seldom. Max decided to come to usual role of ordinary Murre vampire. He's the best in this part.  Our little ghost this is my entery for IFB project #70 I was wearing: little black dress I own since I was 9 years old (I still more than fit in it) Topshop hat Jeffrey Campbell heels Chanel makeup   Have a nice day, Lyosha

МКММ + Couture Fashion Show

So! I am so very excited! I have visited my first real actual fashion show ever since March and I couldn’t ever be happier. It’s just wow! This time I visited MKMM final shows merged with Couture Fashion Show later that night. I had a chance to see many wonderful shows by young and talented designers and enjoyed it a lot. Creativity everywhere. Something is purely catwalk (and I totally don’t mind it at all), something that is very easy to imagine rushing the streets, something very creative and futuristic and making a statement with so much in between. Overall in love. I don’t think I really can be picky because after all those digital shows real made a huge impression on me. It almost as if I am visiting my first ever fashion show but better because I know what to expect. I think you are not reading this and already scrolled past this point and enjoy the contestants. And don’t blame you at all.  RU: Прекрасные новости! Мой первый настоящий офлайн показ с марта месяца. И он оказася пр

Red and yellow

Did ever sit next your computer and have in fact nothing to say? That's what happens to me now.  I have wonderful outfit I wore simply to have a small walk with my dear husband which I actually put on because I wanted to look pretty and feminine. I didn't put a lot of effort in it, simply combining items which came in mind that time. Overall nothing special. I wanted to add some red in my look basically because have't worn it for ages. Do you remember my post about travel  ootd? - it was my last moment of wearing red. The coat I wear is my good old fave, a lot like friend you know. I don't wear it often but when I do I feel special. I can't help but add also a funny picture of me because it's Friday after all! I was wearing: Mango red coat Topshop bag Alba boots not branded skirt, top and scarf headband c/o Frontrowshop   Have a nice day, Lyosha
