I love fashion goes digital. I know it's safer, it gives opportunities to smaller designers to be on par with bigger designers, there no invitation only moments (which is kinda cool by the way if you have the invitation) but at the same time I love seeing it in real life, being able to touch and experience it. It feels so much different and I have to admit it is way more memorable. I watched the show online, I loved it, I sort of remember about it after awhile. I wanted a show or seen clothes in person, boom!, I clearly remember it even after sometime. I mean digitally you need to work way harder to impress me, to make me feel connected, to make them special. You see the invitation only moment, it makes you feel special about the brand, it makes a connection. During digital format anyone can come, see and go any moment. There is nothing special about it. Moreover you have so much content you want at least a glimpse of, you become flooded with fashion. In real life it takes hours to see several fashion shows and I assure you are dead beat after just 3 or 4. I once did 5 a day and it felt a lot like running a half marathon with PR (personal record, not public relations guy); it might be pretty cool but it is not something you can do every day. But with digital format: you don't have to wait, stand a lines, do your makeup and spend time to actually get to the venue. It saves up a bunch of time which you are willingly spend on more fashion shows. It is not hard to watch online fashion shows for 5 or even 6 hours in a row, I did it more than once. It feels like binge watching series or scrolling through Youtube. It gives you a lot less connection to content, it is very short and it fades super fast. That is why I really want fashion to stay offline as well. Online is cool (and I think we will soon wear digital clothes) but offline is much needed either, it is worth the money and effort you put in there.
Sorry for a huge into. I want to tell you about fashion event I have visited twice this week. It is S'elections Moscow by CPM. You know CPM quite well, they are here in Moscow for over 25 years and they do a great job making probably the best place for fashion professionals in Russia. Due to pandemic they wanted to make a new format: an exhibition made as heaven for buyers. And there is a great block for discussions and talks which I greatly admire and enjoy listening to. Below are some photos to give you general impression.
My outfit was warm. I don't know why but I felt very cold this morning and I was afraid I will get cold when coming back (I had a meeting after the exhibition so I arrived home after 10) so I wore a sweater. And I can not say I wasn't grateful for that, it actually felt very nice wearing it. I am wearing a dress, not a skirt here and I admit of using the belt hack to make my sweater look neat. I think I kinda nailed it. My bag is roomy enough to accommodate whatever I needed for a day and it is also of wonderful pastel pink color. Converse are make to walk a lot I believe. And as there was no rain in the forecast I enjoyed rocking some white shoes as well
Maje dress (as a skirt)
H&M sweater
Converse shoes
Kenzo bag
Monki headband
c/o Bornpretty earring
c/o Faberlic paw necklace
Have a nice day,
Lyosha
What an immense desire I also have to resume this type of adventure and throw myself headlong into the news of next season!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very nice outfit - here it is anything but cold at the moment - we are having some nice summer days still :)
ReplyDeletePersonally, I love fashion shows but not online. So I get what you're saying when you say that you want fashion shows offline too. I totally agree!
ReplyDeleteComfortable shoes are a must with all that walking. This is a cute outfit and it looks so comfortable .
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit so much! That H&M sweater is so cute and I would love to have it for this fall!
ReplyDeletelook so good :D
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fabulous outfit! I really like the color of the sweater.
ReplyDeleteCute Converse shoes! I can understand what you mean about a digital fashion show but it is better than nothing!

ReplyDeleteYou looked so cute! I could never pull off that casual style and I wish I could!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're pretty in your outfit. I admire you!
ReplyDeleteYou are glowing in your nice outfit. The picture certainly reveals your love for fashion.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like the most in going digital is you got to do as many tasks as possible at the same. Well, what can we do, we are in the midst of the pandemic and we neet to follow health protocols always.
ReplyDeleteThe way you carried your sweater, definately you kinda nailed it.. i mean, i cant even see where is the belt you are wearing. Overall - looking totally fantastic
ReplyDeleteYou look so good in your sweater. I love the color on you.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that things have found a way to move online but you are right, when you are there, see it in person, it's different.
ReplyDeleteMan, I wish I could travel to places like this now! However, staying put until COVID is resolved and things return back to normal — at least in terms of travelling — is important for now.
ReplyDeleteI think you did nail it! Such a cute outfit.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely see the pros and cons of shows going digital. You really explained that well! I absolutely love your outfit. That skirt and sweater combination is SO cool.
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
Love the sweater! The color is pretty. And it is great to hear that they are finding different ways to continue the show. :)

I love this kind of exhibitions where I can have a look at outfits presented by different brands! Seems you had lots of fun! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the outfit. Very casual and stylishly well combined. I myself prefer this type of outfit. Great post.
ReplyDeleteThe pandemic has caused everyone to think on their feet and get creative. That is about the only part of it that I like. I feel seeing it online is better than nothing at this point. I'm actually attending a concert from one of my favorite bands online in a couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is so cute. You look comfy as heck, but fashionable. I have never heard of this before, but sounds amazing for those who love fashion.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit. You look really fabulous and amazing. And those photos, you’re so photogenic!!
ReplyDeleteThat sweater design is absolute perfection!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun outfit! Cute clothes. :)
ReplyDeleteNever heard of S'elections Moscow before now but your outfit looks nice.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet way to give others the opportunity to be part of something like this. Love your outfit, girl.
ReplyDeleteI always like seeing the cute outfits you put together. It looks warm and comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI miss attending fashion expos! It is more fun than attending the usual blogger events coz I got to meet new suppliers, brands, and designers.
ReplyDeleteLove your jumper!
yes yes yes! It is way better to get the experience of fashhion
DeleteIt's great to get some ideas when we get to see something virtually. But I am a person of texture. I need to touch, to see how the fabrics flow real time.
ReplyDeleteme too. I don't understand that much from percentage of material
DeleteYour new outfit is a great on you. And thank you for introducing me to S'elections, I never heard of such of an event!
ReplyDeleteit's the first time they hold it so no wonder
DeleteLooks like a great event! I would have loved this in my former life when I worked in the fashion industry.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely see why there would be a significant difference in the experience between attending a fashion show in person and seeing it all online. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised to see a rise in smaller designers embracing the digital option as we move forward. It helps to break down some of the barriers and challenges that they face.
ReplyDeleteyes it's true. I agree: digital is a great addition, not a substitute.
DeleteYour outfit is lovely. I love everything you throw together. I love your shoe more.
ReplyDeleteI think online is great if you have a particular manufacturer you like and know their sizing. But I hate getting things online and finding out their sizing doesn't fit right/well.
ReplyDeleteI feel you. It doesn't even matter if they make returns easy and everything: I wanted this particular item to enjoy, not something else.
DeleteIt looks quite a fashionable scene and I had no idea! Now that we are restricted from traveling, all the online technologies can still keep us informed on the latest industry info and fashion trends - thanks to that. :)
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is sooooo cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit, looks like a really fashion-forward place :)
ReplyDeleteYou look so smart and elegant. I love the outfit. Yes fashion is now digital, but I really love live shopping. The feel of the product and trying them on is different.
ReplyDeleteThat outfit looks amazing on you. I love digital fashon, saves me time and avoids the crowds
ReplyDeleteNice collection! You look great on that sweater.
ReplyDeleteGlad that they were able to shift to Digital format already. I agree with you that the bright side of the new normal is that it takes less effort to watch a fashion show online. It may not have the same feel but I still love it.
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit! The sweater tuck does look immaculate - I've never managed to get a hang of it. Your bag is making me want to go shop - it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI can see both the good and bad of having fashion shows be digital. I hope nothing in-person is ever fully replaced by digital, and that is something that worries me. We're already divided enough as humans. But it is awesome that smaller designers have a chance to really be involved and have their designs in front of a bigger audience. I see it being a great addition, but not a substitution. Hopefully that is how digital things are treated as we go forward post-covid.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit, I love the bag especially. As you said, it's roomy enough to be able to fit everything you need. This is very important to me because I'm always carrying around more stuff than I should.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute outfit! I love the different things they are using for fashion
