Traditions of summer

Summer hits hard many bloggers and I am not a big exception. I try to stay focused on my blog but let us be honest: weather, festivals, boats, friends, running and get-aways take more and more time. I do not regret it but I do have a little less content as of now.
Today I want to say hello to the start of the week and post and post photos from annual Moscow festival dedicated to history of all the world. Each year during the summer parks and boulevards become filled with people wearing odd old fashion clothes, doing unusual things and willing to tell you more and show you more. It is the time when you can easily meet a cowboy discussing stuff with Roman gladiator or find Latvian Shooter accompanied by Turkish harem lady in the shop nearby buying beverages. It is tons of fun and education at the same time.

And it is also a very hot time. Moscow hit as far as +30C and it holds for over a week now. Needless to say: we are fried but happy. I bet people wearing armor are not happy with the weather and I don't blame them. Thankfully I am a civilian so I can stick to my lightweight Indian dress, flip flops, sunnies and comfy waist bag and simply enjoy the day. And ice cream.

I was wearing:
Adidas flip flops
Arny Praht bag
dress from India, Goa
sunnies c/o iGlassesshop

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  1. This is a beautiful dress on you. Historical events and fairs are always interesting, I wish I could have been there for it. I'd love to visit this spot....and Moscow some day.

  2. This fair looks to resemble the Renaissance Fairs we have here in the United States. They are always a good time when we look back on the history. I love summer so bring on the heat and sunshine! Love the pics.

  3. YES! It's so hard to stay focused on my blog in the summer, lol! That festival looks fun and I absolutely adore that dress!

  6. It is so true - in the winter when you want to be inside it is so easy to blog, but in the summer 100% you want to be out and about. This festival sounds so lovely as well.

  7. This looks so much fun. I love these types of festivals where people dress up. Takes us back in time, doesn't it? In that heat, I'm not surprised you were glad to be wearing your lovely dress and not dressed in one of those outfits. Those people must have been roasting.

    1. it actually is normal during the summer. Yeah, I know, most of people think we have snow all the time here in Moscow but it's actually not more than 3 months a year overall. Bonus: normally there is no snow for Christmas

  40. How interesting. Well, in my town, the summer heat takes turns with the local rain; still, a nice place to be. Being considered a crossroad of cultures and civilizations, it offers international book festivals and film exhibitions even in the summer. As a child, I saw Tarkovsky and read Chekov; great experience.

  41. Looks like such a fun festival! I love to attend local festivals here in Seattle - theres a big one called the Bite with lots of food!

  42. This looks similar to our medieval faire. Your dress is super cute, and ice cream sounds perfect for a hot day! I'm the opposite of you--I have more time to work on my blog in the summer because I don't teach then.

Explore Starcon

I'm going to brake up vacation post series to share the Starcon experience. A week ago I was sitting on the same spot and getting ready to go. We've been to lovely Saint  Petersburgh. We managed to have a charming walk in the  evening even right after the con. Starcon was all about sci-fi and we loved it so much. We even wore the Jedi costumes (wait for them in the end of post). Max, my lovely husband, sewed them for only 3 days (that's why the design is so simple). and I also got 2d place in Star Wars Miniatures board game tournament took place there. I'm so happy! As for outfit - I've chosen a super comfy outfit with a very cool pants! I bought them on ebay and they are more than 20 year old pants (I guess soon they could buy booze on their own but I doubt I need it). I love them for their shape - keeping me cool during hot and warm when needed. Oh, and can I also call it my pijama pants trend pants? or not? What I also wanted to mention you are my fab set jewel

Say 'yes' to a dress with Yesbabyonline

When you start on inspiration posts it hard to spot. At least for me. I feel like I am half awake in my bed, feeling super lazy and have to strict plans for the morning so I am hitting the 'snooze' button. I almost hear myself saying 'five more minutes' and I do mean five more minutes but I fail and hit 'show me more' button. Inspiration from online shops devour me. Yes it is budget friendly (you don't need to buy things even though you do want to) but it is not safe for your time. I can't really say I am against it, it is a good to relax and is also useful if you need to wait for your partner to finish some stuff to do. This evening it works especially well because I am waiting for my husband to finish the page. I am more or less limited by time so my online inspiration will be most pleasing. As always I wanted to set up a topic to make it even better. My topic for today is long formal dresses . Out of tons of online shop I picked the best for me toda

МКММ + Couture Fashion Show

So! I am so very excited! I have visited my first real actual fashion show ever since March and I couldn’t ever be happier. It’s just wow! This time I visited MKMM final shows merged with Couture Fashion Show later that night. I had a chance to see many wonderful shows by young and talented designers and enjoyed it a lot. Creativity everywhere. Something is purely catwalk (and I totally don’t mind it at all), something that is very easy to imagine rushing the streets, something very creative and futuristic and making a statement with so much in between. Overall in love. I don’t think I really can be picky because after all those digital shows real made a huge impression on me. It almost as if I am visiting my first ever fashion show but better because I know what to expect. I think you are not reading this and already scrolled past this point and enjoy the contestants. And don’t blame you at all.  RU: Прекрасные новости! Мой первый настоящий офлайн показ с марта месяца. И он оказася пр
