How to wear the monochrome trend

I'm a little tired and extra busy due to 2 weeks off work at my day time job and surrently sitting with my hubby's mom cat so I practically a little late with posting all of those precious Italy outfits which I promise do so shortly. And so far I'll leave you with this guest post regarding an awesome trend I'm wearing mow

One of the key trends for this summer is monochrome. This pairing of black and white could be blocks of colour or even stripes and spots. However you choose to wear it, this classic combination can be used for both smart and casual outfits, so how do you make sure it works for you?

Accessories
One of the most effective ways to wear a current trend is to use it to accessorise. There are many ways this can be done including bags, shoes, scarves and jewellery. To fit with this season's monochrome style, you will find many accessories available in black or white, or a striking combination of the two. A great way to wear this trend would be to team a black dress with a black and white oversized clutch or wear a black and white scarf to lighten your outfit. Alternatively, there are shoes available in a huge variety of styles to suit every budget from flat pumps with a black and white dogtooth check to plain black or plain white wedges and heels.

Tops and bottoms
If you have chosen to wear a black and white outfit then there are several ways this can be done. Teaming stripes or spots on the top, with a solid colour at the bottom works well, so, for example, pairing black trousers or a black skirt with a black and white striped top is a great look. Alternatively, wearing a white skirt or trousers, particularly if they are made from a material such as linen, is great for summer. They can be made dressier with the addition of a smart top in either plain black or a combination of black and white. If you are more daring then why not try wearing spots or stripes on the bottom and matching them with a solid black or white top or blouse, which can be very effective.

Dresses and jackets
If you prefer to wear a dress to trousers or a skirt then there are plenty to choose from that provide a 'nod' to the monochrome look. White dresses look very pretty and are great for summer however there are plenty of black dresses for summer which can be lightened with a black and white jacket or accessories, making them seem lighter and more suitable for the warmer weather. A great example of how this can work brilliantly is if you are attending a wedding or some similar formal occasion and you are going with a plain black dress, adding a monochrome striped blazer to this will lighten your whole outfit as well as making you stand out!

Hopefully this has provided some insight into how you can wear the monochrome trend wisely and effectively. The key to this trend is probably that less is more. If you are not sure, then it is probably a good idea to stick with monochrome accessories that you can pair with a plain black or white outfit. Alternatively, wearing solid blocks of black or white can be a good idea, rather than stripes or spots, which are not something that everyone can get away with!

Happy Halloween

Don't you just loove  Halloween ?everybody does! This year we made it very special  decorating  everything, cutting a huge pumpkin and creating yammy  Halloween  food. We've celebrated this holiday at the exact date October 31st at home with friends. I chose the costume of intelligent witch (yeap, jedi costumes are not fair for Halloween) and finally worn my little black dress I wear so seldom. Max decided to come to usual role of ordinary Murre vampire. He's the best in this part.  Our little ghost this is my entery for IFB project #70 I was wearing: little black dress I own since I was 9 years old (I still more than fit in it) Topshop hat Jeffrey Campbell heels Chanel makeup   Have a nice day, Lyosha

What's in my bag?

I never did such post and really wanted to fill in the blanks here. Moreover I wanted to do it because I recently got two items which are hard to show in the outfit but are part of my daily life and style for sure. Plus it's it fun to have a closer look in my daily life? That's why I want to show you my bag contents. When I'm not wearing a backpack which usually means I have a sports uniform inside or planning or carry something more or less big or going for some travels (so I need my hands as free as possible) I tend to use smaller scale bags. The point is to have only minimum of necessary things with me and not to loose something important. This time I'm featuring my recently most loved bag by NewChic (you can shop it here ). Usually I have a wallet with me. When who doesn't? We still money to life, right? It is my very new and super comfy wallet which was provided by great company NewChic  I recently posted two posts with their awesome items here and h

Tanchoo the talk

You might have noticed I often wear accessory marked Tanchoo (my favourite rings I tend to wear with almost each outfit) or some Russian designer clothes I'm wearing. It's all from wonderful shop Tanchoo . I love this shop so much so when I thought about launching the post series about fashion in form of interview I never thought twice and contacted lovely shop owner Tatiana or simly Tanchoo to start it. This is Tanchoo herself modeling for her shop. this is me wearing some of Tanchoo accessories.and Dina Faradgeva top also from this shop And this is the interview: 1 Tanya the first question would be most ordinary but nevertheless interesting: why your shop and accessory line is called Tanchoo . What does it mean?   Tanchoo is my name is the sphere of design and for life. No my real name for sure is Tatiana but my friends call me that way - Tanchoo or Tanch)) That’s why then it came to choosing my brand name and afterwards the project Young Russian Design
