Deodorant Battle

It's not that I don't have a new travel post really but I want to mix thing up a little and add beauty post. Yes I will never be a beauty blogger but I do enjoy some beauty stuff and I love posting about it on my social media. Why not do it here from time to time. My blog - my rules. So here I am posting about deodorants. It was curious for me as I was send two options of the same line: spray and roll. Which one is better? I tested!

Spray dries faster and the scent is slightly less which I love. However I am never sure if I covered everything and also still not sure if spray is such a good option ecologywise.

Roll is can take more! I mean it, I ran almost 15 km with it and my armpits were actually the only dry spots I had (oops! disgusting, I know).

Each is awesome stain wise, even my black yoga pants went through bakasana which is always an issue with products.
Generally I did like both products. Will probably stick to roll though, I mostly need deodorant for sports and it makes me feel safer applying. However if you are a fan of spray deodorant it is a nice option.
I have no clue about chemicals and ingredients, all I can think of is to try and use it in my daily life.

I am wearing a bodysuit by Russian designer Dina Faradgeva, my favorite currently jeans from Befree and Adidas flip flops (I wear it all the time when I don't force myself to wear actual shoes). It was something I was wearing casually and decided to take photos without changing, super down on earth look from me. That and bright lipstick

I was wearing:
Befree jeans
Dina Faradgeva bodysuit
Adidas flipflops
Swatch watch

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  1. I prefer a solid deodorant. They seem to work better for me.

  2. My deodorant choice lately has been a solid. My husband and I went on a trip together and he ran out of deodorant and has been using my kind ever since. It definitely works!

  3. I've been using liquid deodorant for years and I love it. Also i read that it is a lot more environmentally friendly.

    Love your top!

  5. You should try some natural deodorant. Much better for you and the environment.

  8. I use a natural based solid deodorant stick. It doesn't have the nasty chemicals many of the other products contain.

  9. I prefer using the spray deodorants, they work better for me.

  10. I've always been afraid of the spray deodorant as I travel a lot and never knew if it would get confiscated in TSA! Think I'll stick with the roll on. :-)

  11. I've recently changed solid deodorants for the spray ones and it was a good choice! I also use the same brand. :)

  12. I love a spray deodorant but I have to be careful with what I use because my skin is super sensitive. Thanks for the honesty friend.

  13. First of all you look lovely. I prefer spray deo and although I had tried many type of deos over time but my regular one is Yardley London Country Breeze and April Violets.

  14. Deodrant can be such a hassle to find! Cute outfit!

  15. I haven't tried a spray deodorant in a LONG time!! I need to.

  16. I'm not too crazy about the spray for some reason it makes my skin react so I just use the regular deodorants.

  17. I prefer spray deodorant. The Dove brand is my favorite. I love your blouse! It's cute.

  18. You are right--each one has their pros and cons. I actually prefer a solid, but just about any of them work with me.

  19. Interesting post and I liked your photos! Sounds like some good analysis.

  20. I have never tried a spray deodorant, but I have been wanting to try one out. I tend to like a solid but definitely like to try out new things.

  21. I always use solid but I have wondered if a spray might be better at times. You look beautiful in these pictures!

  22. I do prefer a solid but sprays are interesting... Maybe I'll check it out! Love the look btw! - Sienna

  23. I prefer sprays to solid deodorants because they dry faster and last longer.

  24. Spray deodorant has always been my choice. I occasionally use others though

  25. Will go with the roll on. But sometimes, sprays are more comfy to use, it dries easily and last longer. Thanks for the review.

  26. I use natural deodorant roll and I'm very particular about ingredients as some are carcinogenic and I don't want that.

  27. I don't know if I have ever used a spray on deodorant in forever. I think in the 90s for a hot minute I was into using the Axe Body Spray in addition to my roll on deodorant but I, like you, never felt like it added much benefit. I am not the biggest environmentalist nor do I know about chemicals either. But I do like getting a bigger bang for my dollar and I think roll on does that better for me.

  28. yeah!! I am using this Nivea deodorant too, I prefer the roll on personally, love the wall mural that you shared the captures here. So beautiful. cheers, siennylovesdrawing

  29. It’s really nice that we have an options for some things and even in the deodorant. I think I’ll go on roll on as well.

  30. I wanted to try those deodorant bars, but so expensive - sticking with roll-on! Love the photos - what gorgeous art on the wall.

  31. I've tried spray on deodorants in the past, but they don't seem to stand up the same. I need it to be able to stand up to hitting the trails with the pups for a few hours in the middle of the summer, and I have yet to find a spray that can do it. That being said, roll on rarely fails me as long as it's a trustworthy brand/product!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Solid deo works for me too. But I seldom use deo to be honest lol. Good thing I don't sweat a lot. Thanks for this review and oh, I love your graffiti background!

  33. I have never tried a spray deodorant. Maybe I should. I have always used solid because that is the only thing my mom or sister bought for me growing up. I did try a gel once and it felt slimy all day.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Great idea to do a post about those deodorants. I understand your point about the spray-on one, it is probably not very good for the environment and I probably wouldn't enjoy the smell it leaves in my bathroom. I always use roll-on deodorant and have never had an issue.

  35. Thank you for sharing those deodorant product!! Your review is so great, Lyosha!

  36. I also love roll-on deodorant better than spray. Whenever I use spray, I feel like it's not enough to cover some of the portions of my armpit.

    ReplyDelete
  37. What a great idea to test the same deodorant in different forms. I don't think that I've ever had a spray one, maybe I will try one now.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I've actually never tried spray on deodorant in my life before and that's probably the reason I'd rather go with roll-on deodorant. However, I am willing to try it !

    ReplyDelete
  39. If ecology is your goal none of these are good options. Sprays are bad, but the roll on has plastics. There are a lot of natural deodorants well worth a try!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ooohhh those are really nice deodorant. I've tried them and love them.

  41. Damn right, your blog, your rules! I love that :) Now to deodorants, surprisingly, I have a lot to say because this is my constant struggle. I rull out spray, because for some reason those make me stink a few hours after applying them. (and I love the smell of Nivea spray) Rollon last longer but still the same. Tried them all, natural, chemical, popular and not so popular brands and when I see a new one i haven't tried, I inevitably buy in search of a perfect one. So far the only thing that works are solid ones, but not all. Nivea solid - although I love the scent, doesn't. I tried (no exaggeration, 15 natural brands including those weird stones, and no) Dove solid works like a charm. I sometimes swap for Rexona solid just to switch. Wish I could find a natural brand that works.

    1. I feel you girl. I hear so many good words about solid deodorant but it doesn;t work for me at all. I also like dry-dry for it but it's too much so it goes only for top priority situations: like wedding or awards

  42. I love that your photos are done in a very casual outfit, and you're going outside the box with this post! Definitely agree with you, your blog, your rules. Write exactly what you want to! I have to admit that I've never tried a spray deodorant before. Now I'm kind of curious about it. I've used Dove solids for many years and been pretty happy with it. The cucumber and green tea scent is my favorite. Funny story about that though, apparently it is the same smell as the hand sanitizer at my husband's work. He had to use my deodorant one day when he ran out, and smelled like that. It was noticed by someone and they asked him just how much sanitizer he had used. Lol.

    1. hahah! That is such a funny story. I think I need to try Dove solid after so many comments about it. Also I do want to smell like your husband's work sanitizer smells too, cucumber and green tea must be really nice (I wish my work sanitizer didn't smell like some cheap ass vodka cocktail)

  44. I enjoyed reading your post. To be honest, I haven't given much thought on what I like better since I have both spray and roll. Usually, I just use whatever I can grab first. Anyway, after reading this, I realized that just like you. I'd prefer the roll more.

  45. What fun jeans! It's nice you can find a use for both deodorants too!

Hope that you had a great weekend :) Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup!

Zaraysk 2020

August gave so much energy and so many emotions over traveling. Close and far, to new places and not. Last week we have been to Zaraysk, a small town with big story some 150 km from Moscow (still same region though, Russia is big). We have been there last year but we loved it there so much we wanted to come back. And we had o chance to skip it as we are doing Running Series this year and want to run in each possible start this year. We registered on each successfully so all we need now is to actually complete the run.
Zaraysk was first mentioned in 1146 so it's technically older than Moscow. Originally it was a bordertown. Compact but effective fortress (or Kremlin in old-fashioned Russian way)  was built to protect the Ryazan Duchy and later on Great Moscow Duchy from the Tatars. Well this particular Tatar girl thinks she could call this trip a tie or one more win for Zaraysk. Kremlin looks very lively there and my favorite spot, the 1916  water tower gives great view. The last day of Summer was the hottest in Moscow during the whole recorded time. I didn't fully enjoy it frankly having tons of things to do. And so I did with the first day of fall as well. I kinda wished I was myself on the photos below: chilling and relaxed on a boat.
Today I don't only want to show the wonderful idea of boat style transitioning outfit but also show you my new item. So if you happen to be on a boat take a cardigan. On water even slight wind might feel colder especially when fall is right there. however it might be good to swim or sunbath so you might want to wear a bikini. Light cardigan is on to go item for such moment: just throw it right onto your swimsuit and enjoy the comfort and beauty. This purple babe is from Dear Lover. The they both wholesale and retail options so you will definitely find what suits you best. There are tons of cardigans and it is a joy! I have to admit when I feel the breath of autumn I tend to look at all the cardigans out there.…
