Inside and Outside

This is a little outfit I wore to celebrate finishing second in a 10 krunning race. I have had my moment of glory getting up the podium. Couldn't do it alone though, my daughter insisted on going up with me. It was pretty awesome though. They also congratulate me in my daughter's school, it was very unexpected but very pleasant. So this is the outfit I wore to eat in my favorite restaurant to make my win evven more memorable. I also won a hotel stay so I think vacation is pending. I shoes flat shoes because I gave a lot in the morning to run faster (it was almost my PB). I think my colorful makeup made the look much better. Bonus! We've been going out a lot lately with the whole family. It's so awesome and I can't help but feel  grateful for millions of opportunities to take our dog with us to so many places! I love eating out with him, shopping with him not only walking in the parks. It's funny how tiny convenience might change your daily life. I wore this outfit to grab some coffee, nothing much but I felt like dressing nicely and so I did. I long wanted to try this dress belted to elevate its relaxed and beachy fit. Paired with some edgy accessories I think I took it on a whole new level of charm. and yes I will never get tired of my docs, they are second most comfortable shoes to me (yes flip flops come first, sorry). P.S. what do you think of matching blue bandana on Surak? It has traditional yucatecan flower embroidery on it. I think we nailed it! Yesterday we had a wonderful excuse to overeat in a lovely restaurant we've been keen on visitiing for ages. It was So worth it and I am sure we will come back there soon enough. The exuse is half a year of us being parents or a half-birthday of our baby. I can't really advocate the craziness of the idea of celebrate it but the restaurant we wanted to visit is a little above casual dining price rate so it felt appropriate to find a reason to visit it, you know. Also it's a nice reason to dress up a little bit which we did. The dress I am wearing follows the family red and black theme. It's one of my favorites and is more or less formal one. It's from Diesel and while I don't really wear it often I do love it deeply still. We brought it from one of our trips and it's a dear memory for me as well. My first Day of the Dead here. I have always wanted to travel to Mexico to enjoy this time but it never happened. Instead I just started living here. No avoiding local taditions like that. To tell the truth here the holiday more honored is not call Dia de los Muertos but instead Hanal Pixan. It has so slight differences but that's what Maya celebrate and in the Yucatan peninsula it's  all about honoring maya traditions.  We had a display of many ofrendas around as well as some food stalls, concerts, places to show off you interpretations of Catrina, sing traditional songs (for some reaason La Llorona was sang the most), dances and surely some shopping (yes I ate pan de muertos again, I can not explain why I loove it so much). We had SO much fun immersing in the traditions, I am sure we will do more when Ada Maria is a little older. October 31th we also had some Halloween celebrations here with kids trick-or-treating which was super adorable. I have never had October-November...
