All purpose wall decor

Yesterday it was my birthday. Man, I had so much fun celebrating! We had a lovely family only lunch and headed to Day of Taco celebrations later on! I mean you can not skip city wide celebration and 5 peso tacos on main square just because you have a birthday. I'd even say it feels like the whole city is celebrating my birthday with cheap tacos, lucha libre, mariachis and smiles. And while it provided me with lots of opportunities to make photos and capture the moment, it wasn't all that well. Crowded place are not ideal to make photos and I actually snapped my own outfit a little bit prior the celebration on a more quite (and quant) street. I personally find it very important to snap a picture or two to capture the moment and keep it with you. While I am personally hyper happy to take photos of my taco right before I eat it (and I literally need a second to me it), my own photography and especially photography with my family is not that fast and happy experience. I think most of parents to younger kids (below 1 you mind me) agree that kids tend to be more responsive and happier to take photos in familiar and quite grounds of home. I will share with you my report on that memorable event later on next week. Today though I want to give you some inspiration (because inspiration during the weekends is the best, right?) and share some tricks on how to achieve better looking photos on your special occasions. For example for a birthday.
If you are (unlike me) celebrating it with friends and family at home, you might want to organize a spot to make a memorable photo. It can be anything and definitely can DIY it with things you already have a at hand. Plants, chair and paintings are wonderful props. Also don't forget about 'happy birthday' strings, silly hats and balloons. Everything is easily accessible and cheap at any dollar store or supermarket. And while it definitely looks cute and is budget friendly I would like to offer you a more advanced option you might want to consider investing in. I am talking about backdrops in general and shimmer walls in particular. SO handy and easy to incorporate in your decor. I do think it is a must have. It doesn't ask for much time, easy to redecorate to achieve a different look, it's expandable and easy to store. Today I want to show you more of it on the example of Iridescent Blue Shimmer Wall. I do believe it is a great option to accommodate each and every need.

This set up looks super pretty and very professional too! They added some light on the floor, neon letters to match the occasion and some balloons of matching colors. Looks fantastic right?

Same backdrop, different occasion. No artificail light (which is great for outdoors), different colors od balloons and there you have it! This fancybackdrops.com shimmer wall looks perfect for Easter! Did I convince you yet? If not check out below

Same wall different mood and purpose. Endless possibilities to utilize and create decorations for your special moments. The only limit if your own fantasy really. The most awesome part is that such a wall is very easy to store. Each part is independent so it literally doesn't ask for space to store. Yes, even if you are living in tiny rental, you can afford investment in such a decor piece, no need for a huge attic here.

Do you own a similar piece? Let me know what you think and point out what I have missed!

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  2. I absolutely love the creativity in your all-purpose wall decor ideas! The way you use everyday items like plates and hats to add a personal touch to a room is inspiring. Your attention to detail is remarkable, and I can't wait to try some of these ideas in my own home!

Say 'yes' to a dress with Yesbabyonline

When you start on inspiration posts it hard to spot. At least for me. I feel like I am half awake in my bed, feeling super lazy and have to strict plans for the morning so I am hitting the 'snooze' button. I almost hear myself saying 'five more minutes' and I do mean five more minutes but I fail and hit 'show me more' button. Inspiration from online shops devour me. Yes it is budget friendly (you don't need to buy things even though you do want to) but it is not safe for your time. I can't really say I am against it, it is a good to relax and is also useful if you need to wait for your partner to finish some stuff to do. This evening it works especially well because I am waiting for my husband to finish the page. I am more or less limited by time so my online inspiration will be most pleasing. As always I wanted to set up a topic to make it even better. My topic for today is long formal dresses . Out of tons of online shop I picked the best for me toda...

MFD Lyosha

During my post about Worldwide Fashion Day in Moscow I didn't feature my own look. There've been couple of reasons for that and the main was that I've just had only one picture of me taken by lovely photographer Lyudmila Bureeva  during the event. So I need to shoot my own look properly and that's what Max and I did. Not to make this post too much of my outfit and that's it I've decided to add couple of my favourite closeups from fashion show. taken by Lyudmila Bureeva My outfit was created with a huge help from wonderful shop Choies who sponsored me and my blog provided me with this lovely dress. it's a little shorter than I expected (and I'm short in general so I'm not used to all this mini-stuff) but looks way better than I expect it to look. that's because it fitted lovely. I've  decided  to go for total velvet-like look so I paired this velvet owl dress with my old  corduroy  jacket and shoes. Thanks for everyone who made th...

Happy Halloween

Don't you just loove  Halloween ?everybody does! This year we made it very special  decorating  everything, cutting a huge pumpkin and creating yammy  Halloween  food. We've celebrated this holiday at the exact date October 31st at home with friends. I chose the costume of intelligent witch (yeap, jedi costumes are not fair for Halloween) and finally worn my little black dress I wear so seldom. Max decided to come to usual role of ordinary Murre vampire. He's the best in this part.  Our little ghost this is my entery for IFB project #70 I was wearing: little black dress I own since I was 9 years old (I still more than fit in it) Topshop hat Jeffrey Campbell heels Chanel makeup   Have a nice day, Lyosha
