Relaxed and beachy

I love this silk skirt! I feel a tourist every time I wear it and a sexy tourist at that too. I wore this outfit to have a nice long weekend walk/beach/food morning. It's funny how I feel like breezy when it comes to much waited beach time. Huge hat works the best to shade face and eyes from sun. And yes I am guilty ones again of using a tote bag as a diaper bag. It actually works so nicely!

After strolling in the morning, we made a little stop at home for couple of things to do and went on Mayan ceremony in one of local parks nearby. I was impressed! It felt very special and I loved it even more because there were mostly locals present. On little wins side I got almost everything they explained about the ceremony (apart of couple of words I didn't know the meaning of which is fine and it didn't affect my general understand and experience). I am very excited with my rapidly growing Spanish.

I was wearing:
H&M skirt and top
Uniqlo x Ines de la Fressage hat
Michael Kors bag
Cuidado con el Perro shoes

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  4. I cannot believe it's a H&M silk skirt! Actually, one of my favorite skirts is a silk skirt, too. It's like a wrap around scarf by Hilfiger - the perfect travel companion, by the way (the skirt, not Hilfiger... ;-) )

    1. I was shocked when I saw it there but it was there is their upper section. I wear scarves as tops a lot, as skirt less often. My favorite is my Ferragamo scarf and it's my favorite companion as well (not Ferragamo himself surely, heheh)

    1. yes, it was super awesome! They have many ceremonies held here but it's almost always is very staged and oriented to tourists and things like that. This one felt sacred.

    1. it's perfect for hotter weather indeed. I think it might also work nicely to hide from sun because it's actually pretty good at covering your body. Wishing you a wonderful week as well

  11. Your skirt looks absolutely amazing! It looks perfect for both the weather and the ceremony that you attended. I'm glad you're able to learn Spanish so quickly and fully immerse yourself in events like that.

    1. to tell the truth Spanish is my second foreign language, I started learning it in my 20s but didn't use it almost never. so my Spanish growing that quickly is partly thanks to remembering stuff I forgot. but yes, it feels awesome when you start feeling how you belong to your new home

During my post about Worldwide Fashion Day in Moscow I didn't feature my own look. There've been couple of reasons for that and the main was that I've just had only one picture of me taken by lovely photographer Lyudmila Bureeva  during the event. So I need to shoot my own look properly and that's what Max and I did. Not to make this post too much of my outfit and that's it I've decided to add couple of my favourite closeups from fashion show. taken by Lyudmila Bureeva My outfit was created with a huge help from wonderful shop Choies who sponsored me and my blog provided me with this lovely dress. it's a little shorter than I expected (and I'm short in general so I'm not used to all this mini-stuff) but looks way better than I expect it to look. that's because it fitted lovely. I've  decided  to go for total velvet-like look so I paired this velvet owl dress with my old  corduroy  jacket and shoes. Thanks for everyone who made th...

Happy Halloween

Don't you just loove  Halloween ?everybody does! This year we made it very special  decorating  everything, cutting a huge pumpkin and creating yammy  Halloween  food. We've celebrated this holiday at the exact date October 31st at home with friends. I chose the costume of intelligent witch (yeap, jedi costumes are not fair for Halloween) and finally worn my little black dress I wear so seldom. Max decided to come to usual role of ordinary Murre vampire. He's the best in this part.  Our little ghost this is my entery for IFB project #70 I was wearing: little black dress I own since I was 9 years old (I still more than fit in it) Topshop hat Jeffrey Campbell heels Chanel makeup   Have a nice day, Lyosha

So cold!

Winter sure is a harsh season for any person living in the northern parts of the world. The temperature hits below 0 C, there is a lot of snow and such... It might be tempting to pretend to be a bear and stay at home doing nothing. But you definitely shouldn't do that. Relax, go out and do your best to enjoy the current weather. Or at least make yourself move as fast as possible to move from point A to point B and enjoy your life when you are finally at the place of destination. The key is to get dressed properly. Try more layers or use very warm items. Also thermal underwear (the simplest and cheapest being Heattech from Uniqlo) might help a lot. As for me I mix warmer items, layering and smart materials to achieve the best result. Today I post my little outfit I wore on Friday. Met with my family, did some shopping and went to gym. Overall I was spending a fair amount of time outside so I needed to stay warm. Surely being a blogger I couldn't avoid desire to still look...
