Retro Dress Inspiration: 4 dresses, 4 styles, all flawless

Happy Friday! Today I want to offer you something very usual. Today I want to chat with you. Normally when I write a post about something I give you a lot of space to look through the images and normally I don't push you to read, pay attention to the details or something. If I talk about fashion show I stick to only interesting facts (or may be very strong personal emotions, which I think benefit both of us). If I am showing my own outfit I normally mention why I wore this outfit, if there was an idea behind it, how did I feel wearing this particular outfit. If it's the inspiration post I simply state out what I liked this particular item and why chose the theme for the outfit. Today I want to spill more words, more thought and thus more effort into this post. I hope you will like it. I am not sure if I like enough to make it again any time soon but who knows, may be I will fall in love with long reads, right? Anyway, this time more than ever i want to hear your thoughts and impressions about my post.
To make this post for you I  needed an interesting subject. As it is a hot summer day today I chose to write about dresses because I hardly wear anything else. To do so I decided to pick a new place for me so I don't have to keep in mind if I ever posted about anything from this online shop. I went to Zapaka boutique  this time, it is beautiful place to shop clothes for women and it's Swedish. I think I found a great place!
When I was choosing the styles for you I realized I mostly have my eyes on dress with distinct vintage vibe. I didn't want to fight it so you will mostly see these styles in this post. If not feel free to skip it: after all I want to know what you think. Let's take a look at what a fine Swedish lady would call retro klänning

Let's start with 60s! Many women find a lot of feminine inspiration in this period and I am no different. If I look for something girly, cute, elegant and easy to pull for a date I do think similar styles. Here I also love the calm yet unusual green color. Model has a matched headband which I think is mandatory for the dress.

Moving next: 40s? Not sure but it does give a vibe of it. I like similar styled dresses and it's actually a bit versatile option than the one before. Seriously, if you play around with accessories you can make it look very different. I think this particular dress is an investment. You can simply style it with heels and a purse (preferably of the same color) and be ready or add various options to play around with times. This dress can easily be worn with sneakers and a baseball cap giving an absolutely different look. Also this dress is very nice for meeting with family or your partner's family for the first-ish time.

You definitely knew I'd post 20s here as well. Gatsby kläder is a must in post like this and I just couldn't miss it. This dress scrims party to me and everyone else. Yes, it's not as popular and easy to find like couple of years ago but at the same time wearing this dress you wear the dress and the style you like not some trend made by a movie. Not that I really mind 'The Great Gatsby' movie, I just prefer to be there for clothes and style and love. I chose red because it's less common. The skirt is done beautifully here. At the same time waistline is a bit less 20s than you might want if you really go for the style, however this makes this dress far better for curvy body which (let's admit) is far more usual than boyish (which is perfect for lowered waistline)
As me have started with parties, I couldn't help but find and feature a dress perfect for dances. Surely, it's 50s rockabilly dress! Iconic skirt, iconic red polka dots and no sleeves. If you ask me which dress I will end up buying if I had a goal to find myself a new dress from this post, this is my winner. I love having no sleeves and closed chest. Huge skirts make me feel happy and having my hips covered makes me feel 100% secure and stylish. And after all you never know when you date invites you on a dance, right?

Did you enjoy this unusual post form me? Did you like the dresses I chose? Do you want me to analyze my pick more closely in future? All of this and anything else too is most welcome in comments.

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

Dia del Taco

Would you head to the city centre to stay in the queues to eat some cheap taco, listen to mariachis and watch lucha libre for your your birthday? Because that is exactly what I happily did! It was so much fun! I was very tired after but it was So worth it. I do hope to repeat it next year because March 31st is Taco day in Mexico. I do hope to enjoy it even more next time! As it was my birthday I wanted to wear something more flashy and festive. I went with sexy skirt, basic top and my most comfortable shoes. I felt edgy and beautiful. May be a little overdressed but who cares as it was my birthday! Who said 'taco'? I was wearing: H&M skirt (yes, i still kinda shocked they made such a beautiful and well made silky perfection) Doc Marten's Cuidado con el Perro top (I wear this shop a lot, but they seem to be so cute and affordable, I found a lot of joy in buying a top once in a while) Coach bag Necklace gift from my partner long before Fossil watch (last year'

A year of my life 2.0

It's been a year since I have moved to Mexico and honestly it still feels like a dream come to true to me. I am so happy and fulfilled here, it is incredible. I am half-way scared I might jinx it. I do pray I won't. I am also very happy how my adaptation went/goes here. I thought it might be useful to many people who relocate to a very different climate and also different culture (always applies) to share some of my tips. Each of them contributed to my well being here. I feel very local here. After all they joke Mexicans are born wherever they feel like. May be it was meant for me to live here that is why I adapted so well. Anyways, here is my piece of mind: 1 Have your eyes opened. Adapt to new reality. It is not your previous home with benefits, it is completely different. Don't expect it to be like your before-home but better in each and every position. 2 People at your new place and the place itself are not "them", it is called "us" now. Start with

Pool time!

It is finally warm enough for a pool! Can't say I am a water baby but it was very nice for me. And Just look at the super cute Ada Maria in her baby bikini. Awww, my heart melted. I definitely felt like a mom-mom in my one piece swimsuit with ruffles and a huge floppy hat. I mean, isn't it what fancy pool moms looked like when I was little. I am a little shocked to realize.. I am one of them now! P.S. it is not nearly as warm today or yeasterday but I am staying hopeful for hitting the pool or a beach  very soon.
