ENG: My second day on RusArtStyle exhibition very special. Not only I got to enjoy various crafts from all the regions of Russia, including but limited to traditional embroidery, woodworking and pottery, ceramic pieces and toys giving both traditional and modern look to ethnic ideas. I was very impressed. There also was a big art corner. I am not an expert in art but I did enjoy more modern art pieces. It was pretty impressive to see so many paintings and painters standing next to them, proudly explaining or taking photos.
ENG: But as much I loved an exhibition itself my main joy and goal was a catwalk. I saw a part of the ethic catwalk project call 'Etnopodium'. This time I saw Siberian Yugra and Yakutia traditional pieces (yes the glasses are actual historic glasses, not impractical modern style), patterns, prints and accessories of tradition but made in for the modern silhouettes from Bashkiria and fellow country of Uzbekistan. Impressed! Go and see it for yourself.
ENG: My own outfit was simple. I wore a soft green top (and yes I wear green a lot lately, thank you for the encouragement) and big skirt. It is still very cold outside so I go for simple looks. Multiple necklaces (including my favorite from Moon Love) and hair pins completed the look. I was SO comfortable!
Uniqlo skirt and coat
Monki top and hair pins
c/o Moon Love Necklace and faberlic necklace
Jil Sander boots

Have a nice day,

ReplyDeleteI really like these outfits. Russia holds the record for county I technically visited but spent the least amount of time in. Around 60 minutes in central Moscow.
ReplyDeleteyou should definitely come back. 60 minutes in not enough for Moscow center because it is not compact at all. And as much as I love Moscow, there are other places in Russia curious to see. Kazan is wonderful alternative, Nizhny Novgorod or even St. Petersburg are nice as well.
