Karelia, part one

I had a real deal vacation! I can't be more happy about it. I relaxed so much I am even tired and totally overwhelmed with emotions! Karelia is so beautiful, I want to come back there. The nature and history is beautiful. And the food was awesome too, just in case. Now I can say I love Karelia for everything good there is about it (including my own husband by the way).

It is the first post in series. It is about historical objects. Above you see my travel outfit and fortress Korela. Over the time of it's life (first known mention of the fortress is from 13th century) it was also named Kakisalmi (I love this one so much) and Kexholm. Current name Korela refers to name of nation lived there and other Finnish and Swedish name are connected to the cuckoo bird. It was said when Karelia people wanted to build the fortress they had a big misfortune and couldn't make it. So they prayed to their main God Ukko to help them and it was said that they have to go down by the river and found a fortress in the place where Cuckoo bird sings. It is said to be the origin of the fortress behind. Surely it looked differently back than, it was remodeled several times, the big round part is from early 16th century for example.

Next was Sortavala town. It was so beautiful! There old Finnish design house, magical fortune stone and the monument of Vainamoinen, the bard hero of Finnish-Karelian Kalevala (I was reading it on my way to Karelia to deep dive into it even more even though I knew most of the events from my husband retelling).

My outfit is travel failure. You see I have a cute bow on back (you don't see it). It is a horrible decision for a long ride, trust me. But I looked pretty so it's half ok, I guess. Check out my pendant too: it is a gift from my husband and is custom made just for me. It's pretty old already but I am always proud when I wear it.

I was wearing:
H&M top
Uniqlo pants
Adidas flip flops (do you also concider flip flops the comfortable choice for whatever?)
pendant handmade gift ordered and designed by my husband

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  28. Oops on the outfit - I've made mistakes like that before! The last time that I decided to travel somewhere via bus, I wore an outfit that had a chain running along the back. While that was flat, and therefore wouldn't seem like a big deal, let me tell you how uncomfortable that is to sit against for any length of time... lol Your outfit does look great though! That's a positive!

Jaime Ibiza Fashion show

It's been awhile since I have visited a  fashion show. I am so excited to get to see it from time to time here. This time I was happy enjoy and bag and luggage fashion show. The designer is pretty famous here in Mexico. He is from Guadalajara. I absolutely enjoyed the spectacle and the bags. I can easily see me rocking any of those!  Luggage collection was a special surprice. It is the first and new collection and it features cute styles, great quality and interesting shapes to carry you stuff the best way possible making trips even more enjoyable. I wore a very casual look. All brows, cute little back and comfortable shoes. I didn't get to wear something special because I was on a  go and in a bit of a hurry as I have had things to do right after. It was a great experience. I hope to see more fashion shows here. I was wearing: Cuidado con el Perro skirt and shoes MiuMiu bag H&M top   Have a nice day, Lyosha

Explore Starcon

I'm going to brake up vacation post series to share the Starcon experience. A week ago I was sitting on the same spot and getting ready to go. We've been to lovely Saint  Petersburgh. We managed to have a charming walk in the  evening even right after the con. Starcon was all about sci-fi and we loved it so much. We even wore the Jedi costumes (wait for them in the end of post). Max, my lovely husband, sewed them for only 3 days (that's why the design is so simple). and I also got 2d place in Star Wars Miniatures board game tournament took place there. I'm so happy! As for outfit - I've chosen a super comfy outfit with a very cool pants! I bought them on ebay and they are more than 20 year old pants (I guess soon they could buy booze on their own but I doubt I need it). I love them for their shape - keeping me cool during hot and warm when needed. Oh, and can I also call it my pijama pants trend pants? or not? What I also wanted to mention you are my fab set jewel...

Ruinas El Rey

Archeological site El Rey is located in the Cancun hotel zone, right next to the most scenic beach in my opinion playa Delfines. The part of the ancient town is actually located in the nearby museum Museo Maya Cancun (if you ever visit it, don't forget to also check the ruins in the garden). But the original town was a lot more than what you see in the museum. I highly suggest you to walk a little bit further and explore the ruins of the right hand side right after playa Delfines. It is a very tranquil place with lots of iguanas for the inthuiasts and ruins to explore. the entrance is inexpensive as well. My family had a lot of fun exploring the small ruins of our town. I have chosen to wear my favorite wideleg jeans, a crop top and practical closed shoes (I always suggest some soft of closed toes shoes to explore the ruins, it allows you to move freely without worring to hurt your  feet). Definitely perfect for a relaxing weekend I was wearing:   Have a nice day...
