Collector's edition

This week was not easy to me. I feel absolutely out of place, had a little cold and definitely ate too much sweet stuff. Anyway. I am not a model citizen lately. Some of my fantastic  readers who read both my blog and follow my Instagram (you can be one of them, I'd love it!) asked me if I was going to post in my 'big', 'actual' blog about my latest museum time. To be honest I didn't plan to but then I thought why not. It at least half way compensates my absence online. Oh and my big vacation next week. Here is what I wore for the museum time out with my beautiful Mother.
We got tickets prior which is a big deal in Moscow. Local people LOVE exhibitions so if you don't book and buy tickets beforehand (we did a week before) you will have to wait in the queue. It is scary because it will take a lot of time. 3 hours if you are lucky.
My Mother love impressionists so there was no way she wanted to miss out this exhibition. It is curious. We are used to see art gathered due to some reason: time, place, art style. This time the reason was the original collectors. Yes it was an exhibition of art once gathered by talents of old Russian collector world, the brothers of Shchukin. Their interests varied brother from brother, with making the most of Impact with Impressionist art style and Sergei Shchukin. The collection of Henri Matisse and Paul Gauguin was huge and very impressive. It was very curious not only knowing the reasons of making some of paintings (for example La Dance was painted for Sergei Shchukin as per order). The Gauguin room has sadder story behind: suffering from loosing his wife he wanted to brighten up his life thus making a wall of cheerful and colorful Tahiti motives.

My outfit was very comfy. I wore jeans, long warm cardigan (it is always chilly in the museums) and heels. I like wearing heels to the 'smart' places, it helps me to move slower and appreciate art more. Glasses are important for moles like me to see better and headband helps to keep my hair off my face when I bend to see something closer (mostly those tiny plates with description)

whoever put it together like that. I love you! You made my day. And yes I love Picasso, so it's irony and love combined.

it is the portrait of the collection Sergei Shchukin. welll and me.

I was wearing:
Levi's jeans
Monki top and headband
c/o Glassesshop glasses
Zara cardigan

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  16. I always find it interesting what people describe is art. Everyone has such different tastes. Sometimes paintings that look like a splash are worth millions! I love looking at illustrators and graphic designer's work the most. However, I love your outfit and wish I could look good in heels like yours!

Happy Halloween

Don't you just loove  Halloween ?everybody does! This year we made it very special  decorating  everything, cutting a huge pumpkin and creating yammy  Halloween  food. We've celebrated this holiday at the exact date October 31st at home with friends. I chose the costume of intelligent witch (yeap, jedi costumes are not fair for Halloween) and finally worn my little black dress I wear so seldom. Max decided to come to usual role of ordinary Murre vampire. He's the best in this part.  Our little ghost this is my entery for IFB project #70 I was wearing: little black dress I own since I was 9 years old (I still more than fit in it) Topshop hat Jeffrey Campbell heels Chanel makeup   Have a nice day, Lyosha

МКММ + Couture Fashion Show

So! I am so very excited! I have visited my first real actual fashion show ever since March and I couldn’t ever be happier. It’s just wow! This time I visited MKMM final shows merged with Couture Fashion Show later that night. I had a chance to see many wonderful shows by young and talented designers and enjoyed it a lot. Creativity everywhere. Something is purely catwalk (and I totally don’t mind it at all), something that is very easy to imagine rushing the streets, something very creative and futuristic and making a statement with so much in between. Overall in love. I don’t think I really can be picky because after all those digital shows real made a huge impression on me. It almost as if I am visiting my first ever fashion show but better because I know what to expect. I think you are not reading this and already scrolled past this point and enjoy the contestants. And don’t blame you at all.  RU: Прекрасные новости! Мой первый настоящий офлайн показ с марта месяца. И он оказася пр

Discworld day of mine

HELLO! CATS ARE NICE! I promised to write a geeky activity which ate one and a half weeks of my life. It is called Everycon. I wasn't only a cosplayer but also represented Terry Pratchett's Discworld corner. I fell so proud and happy with everything we've done in a very short period of time. We managed to capture the spirit of book series and made our corner interesting to visit with my activities and charming looks. This time I was Susan Sto Helit, granddaughter of Death. We also had Death himself so it was extremely fun and cute to represent their relationship and talk to people. I had so very much fun! in fact the emotions like this were much stronger than from being just a cosplayer. Family portrait Susan (me) and Magrat  Yeap, it's Lexx  Terminator... why not? Family portrait Magrat, Death, Susan Stage moment The whole team: Death, Susan Sto Helit, Magrat Gralic, Vetenary, Rincewind and Luggage. These are my fave photos
