How to WOW him on Valentine's day

If you’re hoping to impress your other half this Valentine’s Day, you’re probably already considering that all-important question – what will you wear? After all, you only truly feel at your very best when you’ve made an outstanding effort and know that you’re looking a million dollars.

Here, we’ll look at five tips for wowing your partner on the most romantic day of the year.

Go for killer heels

An extra few inches can do wonders for your confidence, so dig out your best pair of heels. They’ll make you taller, slimmer, and can improve your posture. If you haven’t worn them in a while, have a practice session at home. There’s nothing worse than having sore feet at the end of the night!

Dare to wear red

Red is the most obvious colour choice for Valentine’s Day, and that’s for a very good reason. To really get in the mood, choose a red dress, a red piece of jewellery, or even just a red lipstick. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a full outfit or just a splash of colour. Just go with whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Wear a statement piece of jewellery

Jewellery can really make an outfit, so if you want to pull out all the stops, go for a bold necklace or cocktail ring that will really grab attention. Remember to choose simple items to compliment your jewellery rather than compete with it for attention. If you really want to get creative, you could even use a hair piece or a fresh flower as a brooch.

Carefully decide how much flesh you’ll bare

Even if love is in the air, don’t think that more flesh on show will necessarily be sexier. Flash a little bit of cleavage, or show off your slender legs, but avoid doing both. The result of keeping it understated will be much classier and more sophisticated.

Go for your signature perfume

Most women have one perfume that they’d consider as their signature scent. It’s usually the one that you wear most often, or it could be the one that you wear for very special occasions. Valentine’s Day is the time to celebrate your happy memories with a partner, and your favourite perfume will help them to come flooding back.

Whatever you decide to wear, being comfortable should be your main concern. Let your hair down and enjoy your evening as much as possible!

What will you be wearing this Valentine’s Day? How long in advance do you usually plan your outfit?

  18. Hey,

YAY for killer heels! (I wouldn`t recommend wearing a big ring though - what if he wants to give you a ring on this romantic day!?!).

  19. Great tips!! Especially the one about the cleavage OR the legs...often times we think showing it all off is sexy but the sexiest woman is the one that wants a man wanting to see more ;)

Dia del Taco

Would you head to the city centre to stay in the queues to eat some cheap taco, listen to mariachis and watch lucha libre for your your birthday? Because that is exactly what I happily did! It was so much fun! I was very tired after but it was So worth it. I do hope to repeat it next year because March 31st is Taco day in Mexico. I do hope to enjoy it even more next time! As it was my birthday I wanted to wear something more flashy and festive. I went with sexy skirt, basic top and my most comfortable shoes. I felt edgy and beautiful. May be a little overdressed but who cares as it was my birthday! Who said 'taco'? I was wearing: H&M skirt (yes, i still kinda shocked they made such a beautiful and well made silky perfection) Doc Marten's Cuidado con el Perro top (I wear this shop a lot, but they seem to be so cute and affordable, I found a lot of joy in buying a top once in a while) Coach bag Necklace gift from my partner long before Fossil watch (last year'

A year of my life 2.0

It's been a year since I have moved to Mexico and honestly it still feels like a dream come to true to me. I am so happy and fulfilled here, it is incredible. I am half-way scared I might jinx it. I do pray I won't. I am also very happy how my adaptation went/goes here. I thought it might be useful to many people who relocate to a very different climate and also different culture (always applies) to share some of my tips. Each of them contributed to my well being here. I feel very local here. After all they joke Mexicans are born wherever they feel like. May be it was meant for me to live here that is why I adapted so well. Anyways, here is my piece of mind: 1 Have your eyes opened. Adapt to new reality. It is not your previous home with benefits, it is completely different. Don't expect it to be like your before-home but better in each and every position. 2 People at your new place and the place itself are not "them", it is called "us" now. Start with

Pool time!

It is finally warm enough for a pool! Can't say I am a water baby but it was very nice for me. And Just look at the super cute Ada Maria in her baby bikini. Awww, my heart melted. I definitely felt like a mom-mom in my one piece swimsuit with ruffles and a huge floppy hat. I mean, isn't it what fancy pool moms looked like when I was little. I am a little shocked to realize.. I am one of them now! P.S. it is not nearly as warm today or yeasterday but I am staying hopeful for hitting the pool or a beach  very soon. I was wearing: H&M swimsuit UniqloxInes de la Fressage hat Ada Maria was wearing: Carter's bikini Have a nice day, Lyosha
