So cold!

Winter sure is a harsh season for any person living in the northern parts of the world. The temperature hits below 0 C, there is a lot of snow and such... It might be tempting to pretend to be a bear and stay at home doing nothing. But you definitely shouldn't do that. Relax, go out and do your best to enjoy the current weather. Or at least make yourself move as fast as possible to move from point A to point B and enjoy your life when you are finally at the place of destination. The key is to get dressed properly. Try more layers or use very warm items. Also thermal underwear (the simplest and cheapest being Heattech from Uniqlo) might help a lot. As for me I mix warmer items, layering and smart materials to achieve the best result.

Today I post my little outfit I wore on Friday. Met with my family, did some shopping and went to gym. Overall I was spending a fair amount of time outside so I needed to stay warm. Surely being a blogger I couldn't avoid desire to still look pretty. Did I succeed?

Tips to stay warm:
1 layers. nothing works better and if you overworked a little (is it really possible?) you can take something off
2 natural materials. trust me a fine sweater with lots of wool is way more warm than cheap synthetic material
3 wear warmer boots (it also helps to stay away from being sick with cold)
4 determine your 'chilling spot'. It is a fact we do not feel cold equally in each part of our body. Find those weaknesses and make sure to give it extra care. For example my hands tend to freeze easily that is way I always wear gloves. My husband's soft spot are his ears. He actually can go outside wearing shorts and slippers but he will definitely cover his ears to stay warm.
5 always use facial cream, it will help your face to stay out of frost bites. same goes to lipbalm, otherwise your lips might fracture.
6 if it is super cold don't be shy and wear warming 'thermal' pants and tops. People who developed it know their job, it saves a lot of trouble.
7 Relax, smile and be happy. It doesn't really help you to physically stay warmer but it helps mentally. Also crunched muscles are faster to freeze, that is a fact.

I was wearing:
Oysho panda sweater
Monki coat and pants
c/o Rosegal hat
Calvin Klein bag
Jil Sander boots

Have a nice day,
Lyosha

  8. I don't mind the winter but I hate driving in the snow! It's so dangerous! I'd rather stay in with the heating on than risk going out in the ice and snow.

  18. We live in Oklahoma now, but we are born and raised in good ole Wisconsin. A place where the air can really hurt your face in winter. Often times in winter it gets well below freezing, and into the negative numbers. Dressing in layers is definitely key. That or staying inside all of winter, but somehow people need to eat, so... you definitely nailed the winter look. I love this outfit.

  36. That Monki coat is a gem, looks so cosy, and I'm way more likely to face the cold if I can be toasty by snuggling into something like this! Also, I force myself outside by going to the lake with a bag of seeds and feeding the ducks, swans and geese, they are VERY grateful at this time of year.

What's in my bag?

I never did such post and really wanted to fill in the blanks here. Moreover I wanted to do it because I recently got two items which are hard to show in the outfit but are part of my daily life and style for sure. Plus it's it fun to have a closer look in my daily life? That's why I want to show you my bag contents.

When I'm not wearing a backpack which usually means I have a sports uniform inside or planning or carry something more or less big or going for some travels (so I need my hands as free as possible) I tend to use smaller scale bags. The point is to have only minimum of necessary things with me and not to loose something important. This time I'm featuring my recently most loved bag by NewChic (you can shop it here).

Usually I have a wallet with me. When who doesn't? We still money to life, right? It is my very new and super comfy wallet which was provided by great company NewChic I recently posted two posts with their awesome items here and here.

Sorry, I've been super-busy lately. I'm actually kinda busy right now as well, but I'm trying to do my best to work on the blog!
This post is made form 2 outfits, both having its centre in shoes. I'm in love with this babes! The heel is high for me (11,5 sm) but still this shoes are comfy! Can walk and walk but nothing would worry me.
Heels do always add classyness to any outfit, make it more alive... Less words, more action - let's see my shoes!

MFW, day 2

My second day on Moscow Fashion Week was lovely as well. I had so much fun! There was a fantastic joint fashion show from aspiring designers from Nenec region (which is real Russian North), sport casual kids wear and a lovely feminine fashion show from Anastasia Kuchugova I was waiting to attend (I try to visit her fashion shows every season).

Edgy, rough and warm collection from aspiring designers was splendid. I didn't originally plan to attend the show but I was so happy it was a little delayed and I got to see it! Yay me!

Kids fashion is always cute especially if young artist is landing a hand and sing all along. I am sure it was something my elder niece would be wearing everyday if she could (school uniform sucks, I think).

The main event of the evening for me was the show by Anastasia Kuchugova. It was long and graceful. Lots of styles to wear for office, theater, evening and day practically if you want to look ladylike it is most likely your best choice. Do you like it?
