Marina

Just another weekend stroll outfit. This time featuring my favorite dress and bucket hat. I felt so comfortable I think I could go on forever. And I also felt very cute. I took photos at Puerta Cancun which is mall, residential area, yacht port and a beach all in one. I actually went there to visit the sport shop called Innovasport to fetch my kit for an upcoming run (I enjoyed it a lot despite having any goals on achieving the results) Also do you like Vespa-like motobikes? I do. The only reason I don't use and own it is that I don't need it. I was wearing: old Forever 21 dress Pirma shoes Coach bag Cuidado con el Perro bucket hat Watch Fossil   Have a nice day, Lyosha

Typical weekend

Let's talk typical days and especially weekends. I often go out and about, hit on the beach or a park, enjoy some ferias (local small business fairs) or some numerious events held in Cancun on regular basis. It's hardly ever boring to me. That definitely is what happens when I am not getting ready or running a race. Don't get me wrong I love it most as well as weekend getaways. Today I want to share a very simplistic look I wore for a very simple and relaxing weekend. We took a stroll and also spent some time on our favorite local fair La Buena Vesindad (The good neightbourhood) to fetch some fruits and our favorite coffee. The day was very nice and I couldn't help but smile a lot and enjoy myself. I wore a crop top, pants, a backpack to fit in everything I needed (which didn't make it to the photos), cute headband and comfortable shoes. Honestly it is as basic as it goes and is a good example of my outfits lately. Too boring to really be something. My apologies (...

Dia de los Muertos

My first Day of the Dead here. I have always wanted to travel to Mexico to enjoy this time but it never happened. Instead I just started living here. No avoiding local taditions like that. To tell the truth here the holiday more honored is not call Dia de los Muertos but instead Hanal Pixan. It has so slight differences but that's what Maya celebrate and in the Yucatan peninsula it's  all about honoring maya traditions.  We had a display of many ofrendas around as well as some food stalls, concerts, places to show off you interpretations of Catrina, sing traditional songs (for some reaason La Llorona was sang the most), dances and surely some shopping (yes I ate pan de muertos again, I can not explain why I loove it so much). We had SO much fun immersing in the traditions, I am sure we will do more when Ada Maria is a little older. October 31th we also had some Halloween celebrations here with kids trick-or-treating which was super adorable. I have never had October-November...

00s vibe

I have to admit I have little to do with 00s and style despite my age. Growing up I wasn't into fashion and I have never really be urged to pursue trendy stuff by my family. My mother taught me to be timeless. I am thankful for that because that is what I normally aspire. However play a part is fun from time to time. Today I played pretend to be a cool kid from 00s wearing my tiny bag, huge glasses and low pants. I do think I am lacking the Juicy Couture letters on butt but let's face it, that would have been too much. On the side note, do you like my new cargo pants? I basically live in them these days! So comfortable! I always wear them in the morning to face the chill and dew of early morning pup date. And smile all the way. I was wearing: Ferragamo scarf Gucci bag and sunnies Cuidado con el Perro pants Converse shoes Forever21 top   Have a nice day, Lyosha

12 hours

The last post featuring me pregnant, I did great catching up within a month! We took these photos about 12 hours before Ada was born. So technically it is as pregnant look as it could. I really didn't buy anything in maternity department and used my usual clothes all the time. I lowered mid-rise pants and skirts, wore loose dresses which I love for summer (great choice me, weather-wise and belly-wise here). I actually wore this outfit several times and it was one of my personal favorites throughout the pregnancy. It's very liberating to have a belly in the open, opting for crop tops. Also cheers for a very cold day and actual long pants on. yes it is a joy. By the way, I also wore this outfit to get to the hospital as it was the closest to me and I didn't care much on how I looked having contractions. I was wearing: Forever21 top Miniso handband (i know right but it was SO cute) travel pants from Decathlon (years back) Fila sneakers   Have a nice day, Lyo...

Picnics

On of the perks of my new home are picnics. I have always been into it, even before when we often when go have picnic during short summers in the local parks. But here it is in full bloom, it is so much fun to have it on the sea side at any time we want. It is a pure joy. During the picnic everything feels different, more special and I really appreciate it. Gratitude is the main emotion I feel these days and it makes me feel special. What I also do all the time is waiting. Waiting for deliveries to finish up our home and waiting for our baby. I can't wait to see her and finally stop being pregnant. I mean it, I want to run, jump and swim freely without a huge bump attached to my body. These huge shorts I am wearing are very nice. I still fit in them even though they go up my waist. A little victory if you ask me. I also feel very summery even though it's spring here and it does feel that way in the air and during early morning and evenings when I wear extra layers. You may no...

Flower Child

I think each summer I think of boho. It's adorable and being surrounded with flowers makes me think of flower children who (in my heart) are synonymous to boho style. Boho chic is actually pretty hard for me to pull. I don't have a good eye for it so I rarely hunt for the style. Sometimes it just pops this way. If you read me long enough you have seen this dress a million times. It is probably my favorite summer dress. I wore it at home during the isolation last year to feel happier, it followed me on cycling trips making thousands of kilometers in my bicycle rack, allowing my legs to feel free on our spare time, I wore it after half-marathons I ran, I walked with my dogs and friends countless times and surely it had a lot of space on both blog and insta. And here it was again. I bought this H&M headband with flowers on sale, I thought the price allowed me to enjoy it and it worth the money even if I wear couple of times. Plus I have always wanted to see if I can really pu...

Summer Boat Days

Happy Summer! Summer means boat to me. Yes technically we start during the spring (mid April) and send our boat to sleep in October but the boat is the best during summer especially when it's hot. Boat is my deep love, I love water and being by it. The feeling when you are at the whelm fills me with joy. I am so happy and so blessed to have a boat at my service. Literally my father's love to boats  definitely was inherited. During summer my husband and I often skip regular work place and stroll to the boat to work from the boat. it feels better this way, half way working, half way relaxing. I feel oddly productive there as well. I wore a simple hat and my favorite summer dress. It made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. Definitely perfect for summer and boat office. P.S. don't forget to apply some sun screen!   I was wearing: Forever 21 dress (old but deeply loved) hat bought on the street of NYC because I heeded a hat c/o Nordgreen watch bracelets made by husband ...
