Merida, part 2. Dzibilchaktun

As a huge lovers of ruins and history and old stones we couldn't possibly passed on an opportunity to visit the ruins. Dzibilchaktun was a marvel and we enjoyed the ruins of the old city so much. It added a lot that we were allowed to almost fully interact with the zone, climb up, sit on the stones and such. Too bad the cenote was closed but when it's opened we'll make sure to visit again. The place says it all really, I loved it SO much. I found it most curious that it was an actual living vibrant and kinda big city years back, ot a religious place, it was a place where people flocked to live their lives. Very fascinating! I chose a loose dress and a polo. It's very comfortable to wear, has minimal impact of local weather (if it's hotter I have move coverage but generally won't feel hot since the fit is loose; if it's colder I have longer sleeves and a tiny bit of layering. a win-win). The whole outfit looks pretty and I loved the mix. I was wearing:...

Touristy Cancun

Hello! We didn't really explore Cancun before as tourist. I turned out we fully visited it only when we started living here. It is actually fun because we can explore it from two point of views at the same time. And giving it no rush over anything. Cancun has neatly separated tourist zone with nothing but hotels, eateries and some entertainment like big aquarium. It also has some ruins. In fact we have two set of small ruins here one are actual ruins of fishermen village of Cancun (it is believed to be translates as a snake nest which I personally adore with all my heart as not only I love reptiles but also often joke around I am either a reptile myself or at least been one in my past life or lives) and the other ruins are the ruins of the farm. The latter are located next to the big Maya museum (only city of Merida has it bigger), the entry is cheap and gives you access to both the museum are ruins/garden (bonus points for a huge number of iguanas there). We absolutely loved i...

I'd rather be there

Hello! This week is roller-coaster! Nothing goes as planned and I have more plans than I hoped I would. Nothing is blog related but I actually don't mind it that much. But I was late with regular posting and I actually a little sad about that.  Today I want to share with you a quick throwback to Zanzibar because it is exactly where I want to be now. This is not something new because one of the photos above is my Facebook profile picture, you might have seen it many times. I was wearing a long sleeved shirt to cover my hands. I tested different sunscreen and it worked poorly so I gave my hands some extra love for two days. The top was awesome for that: I enjoyed extra protection without suffering from extra warmth. I'd definitely trade abnormally cold Moscow with Zanzibar this instant. I miss the high and low tides, white sand and warm ocean. as well as wearing sunglasses because I need them not because I just want to wear it And a selfie with turtle. because I just have to ...

CPM, opening

CPM always marks the start of the fashion season in Moscow. It is huge fair (the biggest fashion related in Eastern Europe) filled with everything you need to know about fashion next season. I am always thrilled to visit the opening, it does feel special. I love looking though trend they have here especially since it's an unique option for me of seeing most of fashion trends in one place: casual, formal, home and body, men wear - all in one. There wasn't any kid fashion this time but it feels ok as kids will be later on for me. This year I was delighted to check out more of body and swim options, I am so not ready to say goodbye to my swimsuits just yet. one of my personal favorite to wear brand Akhmadullina Dreams (I am a huge fan of their dresses and wear it all the time) presented the collection as the first brand for the opening. I was so happy to watch it. My outfit was basic and it's s...
